Happy 30th birthday to my wonderful husband and a BIG thank you to those that made it to his surprise party...we pulled it off! It is times like these that remind us of what great people we have in our life. We had a great time!

Ok mom, I told you I would post pictures from my birthday...this is for you! We went to my parent's house for a very yummy meal and they brought out my baby picture for on top of my apple dumpling. Yup- no cake this year, I had a craving for something different. Does anyone want to guess what I wished for?!
a Happy Thanksgiving
In Kindergarten, we made Thanksgiving placemats to mail to the soldiers in Iraq. We learned how thankful we were to be with our families for the holiday. It was fun to see how compassionate and kind 5 year olds can be. They asked me almost every day if the soldiers got our placemats yet! Here they are eating off of the placemats that we made!
Slacker!
Once school started, I turned into a blogging slacker! I was recently asked to get back to it and add something new. So...here are some pictures from our vacation (in Sept.) to Hilton Head Island with John and Robin and also Halloween. I will try to be better at keeping this updated!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!!!
The fam came over to our house to celebrate mom's birthday. We grilled out, played corn hole, and ate cake. Mom was a rock star when she participated in the New Albany Walking Classic, played miniature golf, AND went on a bike ride. Who says it's hard getting older???
Football Saturday
On Saturday the Ohio University Bobcats took on THE Ohio State University Buckeyes. Nick decided that he couldn't lose either way, and he wore the colors of both teams. OU ended up playing better than we thought, but the Bucks pulled ahead in the second half to win.
Super Saturday
Saturday marked the kick off of another Ohio State football season! Nick and I woke with excitement as we blared the OSU fight song while we got ready to head to the Manahan Tailgate.
After the game both sets of parents and Addie (Nick's sister) came over for a cookout. It was great to have everyone together, and we discovered that my parents are naturals at corn hole! We tried every combination of teams to beat them but they are still undefeated!

Dinner with Friends
There are several of us that celebrate a wedding anniversary in August, so we decided to go out for a nice dinner together. We had a wonderful meal at http://www.mitchellssteakhouse.com/. Everything was excellent, but I really enjoyed the chocolate covered peanut butter mousse!
Happy Birthday to You!
The family got together to celebrate the birthdays of Grandpa Converse and Barb (my mother-in-law). After enjoying a great meal, we ate the traditional Black Midnight Cake. There was a stinker at the table who tried to blow out the candles before the guests of honor, but they were just a little bit faster! Happy Birthday to you- it was nice seeing everyone!
And the winner is...
Rick Cheney! Congrats to my father-in-law for winning the Club Championship at Shawnee Country Club. This is the second 1st place award that he has won this summer for golf.Look out PGA!
After making a last minute trip back to Lima, Nick and I were there to witness this event along with the grandparents. It was a beautiful day to ride around in a golf cart...not to mention Barb's birthday!

Darby Dan
Right now Nick is getting 2 days off every other week so we take full advantage of the free time we have. After a full Saturday afternoon, we got dressed up and went to the Darby Dan Farm. Doctors Hospital put together a great event filled with a putting contest, corn hole, and a ring toss. We won some great prizes there! Robin and I were impressed with the music and shrimp that was dispensed by an ice sculpture! Nick was impressed when he broke the door knob...men!
