Ho! Ho! Ho!
We took Emma to meet Santa! As I placed her on his lap, she was calm and curious. Emma remained solemn despite the camera lady that smiled, played peek-a-boo, and made noises. She took occasional glances up at Santa's face and made sure to show her pointer finger. At least she didn't cry!
Thanksgiving
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with our family! It was busy as we traveled (not far) around to make sure we saw everyone, but I love this holiday. Good food, laughs, and a time to count our blessings. We have so much to be thankful for!
We are enjoying this holiday season with our sweet baby.

Now that we have started our new family, I am very excited to send out our first photo holiday card! I always enjoy getting these cards from others that we know, and now it's our turn. I have been searching Shutterfly for our Christmas card and have been excited about all of the choices! I have a picture in mind that I want to use, and I found the perfect card to go with it. The prices are affordable, as well!
Another one of my favorite things about Shutterfly are their photo books. I have used them on many occasions to share about vacations, holidays, or for the perfect gift. They are a great keepsake when you don't have the time or energy to get out all of the scrap booking supplies needed to create one page at a time.
Now that we have a child to celebrate birthdays with, I can't wait to use their birthday invitations as well. There are so many fun ways to use all of my favorite pictures!

Fall Fun!
Emma played in the leaves for a little while, but wasn't so sure she liked them!What a cute little ladybug!
Daddy has had a busy couple of months, but was able to be home for Emma's first Trick or Treat! Nana, Papa, and Great Grandma Fisher were here, too.

I made chili, cornbread, and a chocolate cake for dinner while we waited for trick or treaters.

OU visit
Nick recently gave a lecture to the medical students at Ohio University, and Emma and I went along! It was so nice being back in Athens to see familiar places and also things that have changed since we were there.

trip to the zoo
Emma and I met friends at the zoo for the first time! What we didn't know was that it was half-price ticket day, so it was packed! The massive crowds combined with three little kiddos made for a very short stay.
We came home and read a book about animals instead!
Emma enjoyed the touch and feel part of the book. Mommy liked the dimples on her hand!

It is complete with her own little bench!

daddy's day
Happy 1st Daddy's Day!
Nick got to celebrate his first father's day this year with sweet little Emma. Both sides of our family were here to share the day. Nick was the grillin' man and made filet, bacon wrapped chicken, and shrimp skewers. He spent the rest of the day playing and relaxing with his daughter. What a great Daddy!

My 22nd birthday was the last time that I got flowers from Nick. They were little pink roses and we had just started dating. Since he's not a flower kind of guy, you can imagine how happy I was to get a beautiful boquet "just because"!

When we moved into our house, I would often ask Nick to take a walk with me. That happened once in the past two years! Now that we have Emma to walk with us, we are more excited to get out. It's fun having family time!
Bath Time
As we expected, Emma cried during her first bath. She was quite content and smelling great, however, when we wrapped her in her ducky towel to be snuggled!
Diaper Wreath
My Kindergarten class surprised me with this adorable diaper wreath. I can't wait to hang up all of the clothes!A peek at our girl!
We got a sneak peek of our baby girl yesterday during a 3-D ultrasound. Both sets of grandparents were with us and we were able to get some good pictures of our baby. She was quite expressive while showing us a smile, sticking out her tongue, sucking her thumb, and moving around in mommy's belly. Now we are even more excited to meet her!
Happy Anniversary!
Last weekend, Nick and I were in Lima to celebrate the 60th Wedding Anniversary of Grandma & Grandpa Converse! We had a wonderful dinner with the family, Barb and Addie made a beautiful cake, and we had a lot of laughs.
We wish them many more happy years together!
